Abstract

This part establishes the theoretical basis for the later empirical analysis. First, because the wording in the existing literature is seldom unambiguous, the terms ‘financial distress’, ‘corporate turnaround’ and ‘corporate restructuring’ are defined in CHAPTER 3.1. CHAPTER 3.2 integrates existing theory and empirical findings into the theoretical framework of corporate turnaround among financially distressed automotive suppliers.
