Debatten über militante politische Religion scheinen sich in Extremen zu bewegen: Einerseits werden religiös motivierte politische Akteure als besonders gewaltbereit charakterisiert. Andererseits ist es nicht klar ob und wie religiöse Motivationen politische Auseinandersetzungen substanziell beeinflussen.
