Wichtige Vorgaben für Aerodynamik und Aeroakustik beim neuen Audi Q3 waren hohe Effizienz und Dynamik sowie hoher Komfort. Die Aerodynamikentwicklung zielte darauf, das Fahrzeug an der Spitze des Wettbewerbs zu platzieren. Die Aeroakustikentwicklung fokussierte auf ein geringes und harmonisches Windgeräusch auch bei hohen Autobahngeschwindigkeiten.
