Zusammenfassung

Das „Syndrom der Harninkontinenz“ ist komplex. Entsprechend verhalten sich die prozentualen Angaben über die Häufigkeit der verschiedenen Inkontinenzformen. Als Therapie kommen derzeit hauptsächlich abdominale Suspensionsverfahren zur Anwen dung, besonders die Operation nach Burch und deren Varianten. Die vaginalen Eingriffe sind zahlenmäßig in den Hintergrund getreten. Mit einer Kolporrhaphie allein kann die schwere Inkontinenz jedoch nicht dauernd behoben werden.
