Zusammenfassung
Die postoperative Morbidität nach Hysterektomie ist zum Teil das Resultat ungenügender präventiver Vorkehrungen. Blutungskomplikationen können mit einer sorgfältigen Blutstillung reduziert werden, infektiöse Komplikationen (u.a. Douglas- und/oder Vaginalstumpfabszesse) lassen sich durch die gezielte Anwendung von Antibiotika, entweder prophylaktisch (bei der vaginalen Hysterektomie obhgat) oder therapeutisch verhindern.
