Zusammenfassung
Die Entwicklung auf dem Gebiet der Kolbentriebwerke, insbesondere der Hochleistungsmotoren für Luftfahrzeuge, hatte fün die Grund- und Treibstangenlager so hohe dynamische Belastungen gebracht, daß sich um das Jahr 1925 der Austausch des bisher verwendeten hochzinnhaltigen Weißmetallagers mit Stahlstützschale wegen nicht mehr ausreichender Dauerfestigkeit als notwendig erwies.
