Abstract
The subject of the present paper is the petrogenesis of the Sukheti Khad exposures of the Mandi Traps described earlier by McMAHON (1882) and FUCHS (1967). An effort has been made to define the suite to which they belong on the basis of detailed petrographic study and chemical data. McMAHON (1883), GUPTA (1966) and KANWAR (1968) have briefly referred to the petrographic and structural disposition of similar rocks occurring in Dalhousie and Dharamsala areas of the same province.
