Part of the book series: Springer Series in Solid-State Sciences ((SSSOL,volume 71))

Abstract

Due to the discovery of the quantized Hall effect (QHE) [1] the interest in the theoretical calculation of the transport properties of inversion layers in strong magnetic fields has increased considerably during recent years [2]. Of particular interest is the inclusion of a random potential.
