Zusammenfassung
National-repräsentative Haushaltserhebungen sind als die Hauptmethode zum Kontrollieren der hauptsächlichen oder beabsichtigten Wirkungen der Kontrazeption gut eingeführt, aber sie sind nicht benutzt worden bei der Untersuchung von Neben- oder unbeabsichtigten Wirkungen. Es gibt offensichtliche Grenzen der Reliabilität von Patientenberichten über Gesundheitsstatus und Diagnosen, aber eine Haushaltserhebung kann zweifellos zu unserem Verständnis für Sozial- und Gesundheitsbezüge der Kontrazeption erheblich beitragen. Dies gilt besonders für die Gesundheitserhebungen auf Basis der Haushaltsstichprobe.
