Zusammenfassung

Phenol-Rezepturen wurden bereits seit Anfang des Jahrhunderts als exfoliativ wirkende Agentien benutzt, um die Qualität und Beschaffenheit der Haut zu verbessern. Eine kontrollierte Ablation des Epithels wird induziert, mit dem Resultat einer Faltenreduktion und Entfernung von aktinischen Keratosen und Lentigines. Phenol penetriert tiefer als andere Peeling-Lösungen, und die Ergebnisse sind beeindruckend. Weil schwerwiegende Komplikationen auftreten können, sollten die Patienten und die Indikationen sehr sorgfältig ausgewählt werden.
