Abstract
In the recent past, several attempts have been made to develop rotary or nonpulsatile implantable blood pumps for assisted circulation [1–6]. We, too, are engaged in constructing such a device with a design basically identical to that of our 16th prototype of the known spindle pump (Fig. 1).
