Zusammenfassung
Der Erfolg der Nierentransplantation hängt von sehr vielen Faktoren ab, die sowohl vor als auch nach der Transplantation ihren Einfluß ausüben. Bei der Analyse der Nierentransplantation muß man sowohl die Patientenüberlebenszeit als auch die Transplantatüberlebenszeit betrachten. Die Patientenüberlebensrate liegt heute zwischen 90 und 95% nach einem Jahr. Diese Zahl hat sich seit den sechziger Jahren ständig verbessert. Die Patientenüberlebensrate wird sich in den nächsten Jahren kaum mehr erhöhen, da zunehmend Patienten mit höherem Risiko transplantiert werden (ältere Patienten, Diabetiker). Tabelle 34 gibt eine Übersicht über die verschiedenen Faktoren, die die Transplantatüberlebensdauer beeinflußen.
