Zusammenfassung
Die entzündliche Antwort auf pathologische Reize wird durch eine komplexe Interaktion von Cytokinen und direkte Zell-Zell Interaktionen reguliert. Auf einen entsprechenden Reiz hin kommt es zum Rollin, Migration und Infiltration von mononukleären Zellen zum Ort des Gewebeschadens. Bisherige Untersuchungen zeigten, daß diese Prozesse durch die Anwesenheit von Adhäsionsmolekülen, die auf entsprechende Cytokinreize exprimiert werden, gesteuert werden [1–3]. Von besonderem Interesse sind Adhäsionsmoleküle der Familie der Integrinrezeptoren, die eine sehr starke Adhäsion vermitteln. Dabei binden sie nicht nur an VCAM-1, welches vom Endothel nach Cytokinstimulation exprimiert wird, sondern auch an extrazelluläre Matrix Proteine, die das bindegewebige Gerüst von Gefäßen und Organen darstellen.
