Zusammenfassung
Ganz allgemein wäre das Traumziel der klinischen Onkologie, unter möglichen Therapieverfahren durch eine präoperative Biopsie eine zuverlässige Wahl treffen zu können. Daß dies beim Rektumkarzinom für die Entscheidung zwischen lokalen Therapieverfahren und radikaler Resektion nach dem heutigen Wissensstand nicht möglich ist, wurde vorangehend dargestellt (s. Beitrag Hermanek, S. 17 ff.).
