Abstract

Two examples of a dynamic modelling of psychological systems in terms of differential equations are presented. The first one concerns time patterns of alcoholism on a medium time scale of the order of the magnitude of a month. The second example is a slight modification of Bischof s model of regulation of social distance on a time scale in which short-term irregular motions are averaged away. The different types of behaviour are discussed qualitatively.
