Abstract
The Golgi apparatus (Golgi complex, Golgi organelle, Golgi body) constitutes a complex intracellular system of flat cisternae (saccules), tubules, and vesicles that is preferentially located in supra- and perinuclear cytoplasmic regions (the “Golgi region,” “Golgi area”; Fig. 1).
