Femoropatellar Pathology and Rotational and Torsional Abnormalities of the Inferior Limbs: The Use of CT Scan

  • Conference paper
Surgery and Arthroscopy of the Knee

Abstract

Since 1979 the CT scan has been in common use for femoropatellar pathology. So far it represents the only way to study the femoropatellar joint in the range of 0 1/2–20 1/2 flexion, in which traditional tangential X-rays are insufficient. The CT scan can also be used to explore the knee in hyperextension.
