Abstract
In this species all choices seem to be tested which are possible in the multi-comb variation of the basic Apistype: many kinds of climates ranging from cold temperate to tropical, from permanent humidity to semi-deserts; several brood patterns, genetically adapted to different floral seasons; different rates of reproduction, ranging from long-living colonies with low reproductivity to short-living, frequently reproducing colonies.
