Abstract

All management concepts emphasise the importance of transforming strategic corporate goals into operational plans. Besides, the advantages of strategic and operational plans based on corresponding goals are widely recognised. The question to be addressed is, therefore, how to operationalise the goal determination and planning processes in a company from a quality-conscious point of view.

I would like to thank Dipl.-Wirtsch.-Ing. U. Klein for compiling and reworking the material for this chapter.
