Abstract
When conservative treatment options have been exhausted in the rheumatoid shoulder, our policy at the Orthopedic Department of the Rheumatology Hospital in Bad Bramstedt has been to use synovectomy, the Benjamin double osteotomy [1], and our own technique of resection arthroplasty [4] with approximately equal frequencies.
