Abstract
Carboxymethyl cellulose has been shown to be one of the most useful ion exchangers in protein chromatography, The procedure elaborated by Peterson and Sober (1956) as well as by Sober et al. (1956) gives good resolution of different proteins. This method has been applied by Porter (1959) for the separation of breakdown products of IgG globulin,
