Zusammenfassung
Es wird allgemein anerkannt, daß sich Lymphozyten von undifferenzierten Zellen ableiten und über eine Reihe von Teilungs- und Differenzierungsschritten über Lymphoblasten, Prolymphozyten, großen Lymphozyten zu kleinen Lymphozyten transformieren. Ungefähr sechs bis neun Mitosen werden während dieses Prozesses durchlaufen. Die Lymphozyten-Vorläuferzellen befinden sich beim Fetus in der Leber und im Knochenmark, beim Erwachsenen nur im Knochenmark. Diese Zellen wandern sowohl im intrauterinen Stadium als auch beim Erwachsenen vom Knochenmark zum Thymus und anderen lymphatischen Organen, wo sie proliferieren und die lymphatische Population dieser Organe ausbilden.
