Abstract
A new diagnostic tool such as CT introduces a new approachin topathology. Conventional criteria such as size, shape, weight, and histology are implemented by a parameter equivalent to absorption. The absorption equivalent will be termed structural density (SD) as opposed to tissue density which is evaluated by touch and is equivalent to consistency.
