Abstract
Since computerized tomography hardly causes any discomfort to the patient and can also be applied to out patients, it is used for post operative follow-up checks and the detection of recidivations. In order to be able to determine whether tumor recidivations are present, aknowledge of the surgical changes is imperative. Post operatively, the calotte defect, the cerebral cicatrix, the cerebral defect, distortions or dilatations of the ventricular system, residues of tumors and swellings, residual blood and secondary hemorrhages immediately after surgery can be visualized by CT.
