Abstract

The subject of cell population kinetics covers two related fields of study. One is concerned with the various stages or phases of the cell cycle. The other relates to the dynamic characteristics of cell populations, including rates of cell proliferation, of cell migration, and of cell death, and the changes in these parameters involved in tissue response to injury.
