Abstract

It has already been stated (in Section 2.2) that the theory of algebraic systems is primarily the study of the properties of systems that remain invariant under isomorphism. One of the languages in which the invariant properties of a system are conveniently expressed is the so-called second-order language. It is constructed in the following way.
