Abstract

Magnetotelluric sounding (MTS) is a method of studying electrical conductivity of the Earth’s interior based on skin-effect and involving impedance measurements at a physical point on the Earth’s surface, viz. Measurements of the ratio of electric to magnetic horizontal components of the natural variation field.
