Evaluation of the Patient Suffering Vertigo and Dizziness

  • Chapter
Vertigo and Dizziness Rehabilitation

Abstract

The patient suffering vertigo and/or dizziness must undergo a complete evaluation to arrive at the correct diagnosis, which is then used to plan the treatment. The concepts of MCS can be used for diagnosis, where the mechanics phase consists of the evaluation of the reflexes, ocular and spinal, the cybernetics phase is the evaluation of the interaction of the subsystems, ocular and spinal, and, finally, the synergetics phase is the evaluation of the integration of functional networks.
