Abstract

Presented in this chapter is a review of the instructional design program developed under DISCOURSE. The purpose of this project is to improve both the efficiency and effectiveness in developing courseware. DISCOURSE is a set of tools in which authors can develop multimedia courseware. The environment is seen as a CASE system for courseware engineering, which supports the author in refining requirements, conceptualizing, and specifying solutions for both the design and the production tasks.
