Zusammenfassung

Stents werden nahezu immer erfolgreich implantiert. Das Risiko (sub-)akuter Komplikationen hat mit der Erfahrung der Untersucher, verbesserten Implantationstechniken, der technischen Verbesserung der Materialien und der optimierten medikamentösen Therapie deutlich abgenommen und stellt im klinischen Alltag nur noch selten ein Problem dar.
