Zusammenfassung

Innerhalb der sexuellen Biologie nimmt die Eingeschlechtigkeit, der Gono-chorismus, meistens das größte Interesse in Anspruch. In den Abschnitten über Kastration, Keimdrüsentransplantation usw. haben wir uns auch wesentlich damit beschäftigt, indem wir alle Verhältnisse hinsichtlich der Reaktion der Wirbeltierorganismen einer einzelnen, nämlich entweder einer männlichen oder einer weiblichen Hormoneinwirkung gegenüber, untersucht haben. Dabei haben wir auf verschiedenerlei Art und Weise, ohne aber andere, wichtige Faktoren außer acht zu lassen, den männlichen bzw. weiblichen Charakter unter Gesichtswinkeln beleuchtet, die in das Gebiet der Endokrinologie gehören.

Dies Kapitel ist teilweise eine Umarbeitung des Kapitels über dieses Thema in meiner Monographie: Experimentelle Studien über Geschlechtscharaktere bei Säugern. Kopenhagen 1918.
