Abstract
This paper presents the results of an exploration of theoretical views on the role of culture related to dynamics and processes within global information system implementations, as well as the preliminary results of our case study. Several previous studies show that at the intersection of information system implementation and culture, one must address a construct that may exist at one or more organisational levels simultaneously. We look at global information system implementation processes and dynamics from a qualitative perspective whilst observing a situation in its own context in a case study to gain further insights into key cultural elements as variables which are external to information system technology and seemingly emergent elements of global and multi-sited information systems.
