Abstract

The purpose of this study is the development of Simulation for Improving Preschool Principal’s Leadership Skill which will involve a diagnosis of a educator’s readiness, application of proper leadership style in a certain situation, and thereby improving the educator’s readiness based on the Hersey & Blanchard’s Situational leadership theory. The process will involve evaluating results of the in-depth prototype developed via a simulation program. The advantages of this simulation are the learning from teachers’ nonverbal expressions and their responses, experiencing the achievable situations through the simulation and offering good chances to display one’s ability based on personal tastes. The disadvantages are that explanation of the intention and purpose has to be proceeded, teachers might be seen as an administrative task group, the readiness cannot be judged by the educator’s body language alone and more materials are needed to excerpt graphs as analyzed results.
