Abstract
Nowadays, botulinum toxin is the most common non surgical procedure for facial rejuvenation. By blocking acethylcoline release at the neuromuscular junctions, it reduces the motility of the muscles of facial expression, leading to a smoother and more youthful appearance. Botulinum toxin is used in a number of cosmetic indications in the face, neck and chest, including eyebrow reshaping, nasal tip droop, repeated nasal flare, drooping mouth corner, and gingival smile. This chapter discusses the used techniques for the different indications as well as possible side effects of these treatments.
