Abstract
Generally, Article 140 of the Egyptian Intellectual Property Law No.82/2002 (EIPL) provides an exemplary list of 13 categories of works that are copyrightable, and in relation to moral (Article 143) and economic exclusive rights (Article 147), as well as civil (Article 179) and criminal protection (Article 181), the law does not include any general distinction based on the category of the work.
