Abstract
Triage is the process of prioritising patient treatment during mass casualty events. The principles are following the devise: do the most good for the most patients using available resources. The principles of triage are applied when the number of casualties exceeds the medical capabilities that are immediately available to provide usual and customary care. Time is of essence.
