Abstract

A 25-year-old patient presented with congenital adrenal hyperplasia and enlargement of the testicles. Adrenal rests is a rare cause of testicular masses, which can be seen in about 29% of patients with congenital adrenal hyperplasia (CAH) and rarely in those with Cushing syndrome. CAH is an autosomal recessive disease characterized by a deficiency of adrenocortical enzymes, particularly 21-hydroxylase. An increase in adrenocorticotropic hormone (ACTH) levels causes hyperplasia of adrenal remnants in the testes in patients with CAH and results in the development of intratesticular masses.
