Dupuytren’s Disease and Related Hyperproliferative Disorders

Abstract

Scar formation and resultant contracture can be considered the body’s response to an untoward event. Dupuytren’s contractures and burn scar contractures share significant similarities. The purpose of this presentation is to review the intersection of burn scar and Dupuytren’s contractures. The goal of this treatise is to question these two boxes from a different perspective from within and from outside as to their overlap and apply that knowledge to further better treatment of both.
