Abstract
The research of Digital Shadow is focused in recent years, to combine the traditional Shadow puppets with digital technology for manufacture and performance plays a tremendous role in promoting its heritage. However, current research are mostly simulation-based, and ignore the role of the user in the system. This article starts from the users’ point of view, presents a user’s experience-oriented, interactive design and performance model. The IDSS systerm, designed and completement on the basis of this, allows users to manipulate and control the digital Shadow props directly, meanwhile, with the rendering of visual and auditory , to coincide with the real Shadow play relatively and effectively solve the problems of lacking of interaction in current Digital Shadow system.
