Abstract
You have now covered the six crucial steps of the stroke pathway and have developed a vision of the service you could realistically provide. You will also have a broad overview of how the service could, in time, be expanded. Take a moment to review the notes you have taken previously in Chap. 5, as we will now ask you to draw a simple flow diagram (Fig. 7.2 ) of how you envision the treatment pathway of a patient with acute ischemic stroke that arrives at your hospital. Let us further assume that our patient is eligible for intravenous thrombolysis.
