Zusammenfassung

Eine Erweiterung der infrarenalen Aorta auf ≥3 cm wird als Bauchaortenaneurysma (BAA) bezeichnet. Häufigste Ursache ist die Degeneration elastischer und kollagener Fasern in der Aortenmedia (Atherosklerose Bauchaortenaneurysma). Andere Ursachen sind Marfan-Syndrom, Ehlers-Danlos-Syndrom, Dissektion und Infektionen einschließlich Syphilis.
