Zusammenfassung
Das Kapitel stellt den Beginn des Spracherwerbs in den systemischen Entwicklungskontext der vorsprachlichen Kommunikation zwischen dem Säugling und seinen primären Bezugspersonen. Es fasst zunächst die psychobiologischen Voraussetzungen der frühen Verständigung, ihre Erscheinungsformen und adaptiven Entwicklungsaufgaben zusammen: die Regulation physiologischer und aff ektiver Bedürfnisse, Grunderfahrungen der Bindungssicherheit sowie den Aufbau eines intersubjektiven Erfahrungshintergrundes bei Exploration und Spiel und die Entwicklung von einzigartigen sozial-kognitiven Kompetenzen, die unlösbar mit dem Erwerb der Muttersprache verbunden sind. Der zweite Teil befasst sich mit der Rolle der frühen Kommunikation als natürlichem Lern- und Übungskontext für die Aneignung von Lautrepertoire und Regelwerk der Muttersprache und für die Entwicklung von Nachahmungs- und Kommunikationsfähigkeiten, Sprachwahrnehmung, Sprachverständnis und beginnendem Wortschatzerwerb.
