Bimorph and Trimorph Piezoelements

Abstract

Bimorph piezoelements consist of two parts – two interconnected piezoelements or a piezoelement and a metal plate, soldered or glued to each other by epoxy compound [39, 43]. Bimorph elements consisting of two piezoelements are named symmetric [43]. Bimorph elements consisting of a piezoelement and a metal plate are named asymmetric [22].
