Abstract

The frequency-stepped continuous wave (FSCW) technique is an additional approach that combines LFM with FSK [1]. The transmit waveform consists of two staircase modulated up-chirp signals A and B, having N steps in a bandwidth BW with an increment f inc = BW/(N -1). The signals are transmitted in an interwind manner, whilst A is used as a reference and B is shifted in frequency by f shift, as shown in Fig. B.1(a).
