Silicon Photonics III

Abstract

After an introduction on optical interconnect applications, we address key aspects of silicon photonics base technology which includes: wafer process technology, photonic device libraries, integration with electronic circuits, and optical probing technology. Next we cover actual integrated circuit design including transmitters and receivers. Finally, we also address the important aspects of light source and packaging technology.
