Zusammenfassung

Wenngleich die Immunpathogenese von chronischen Gelenkentzündungen nicht vollständig verstanden ist, sind große Erfolge in der spezifischen Therapie (Biologica-Therapie) in den letzten Jahrzehnten erzielt worden. Es existieren Synovialitistypisierung und Scoring-Systeme zu einer orientierenden diagnostischen Klassifikation, der histopathologischen Diagnostik kommt ein großer Stellenwert insbesondere im sog. Infektionsausschluss zu.
