Abstract

The Eastern European countries presented in following report consist of six countries distinguished mostly by their geographical location. The Czech Republic, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland and Slovakia reflect contemporary political and administrative conditions and all lie along the eastern border of the European Union. They are related not only by their setting, but also historical factors.
