Writing a Surgical Report, Describing a Surgical Technique, Dictating a Report

Whether you are a gynecologist, an abdominal surgeon, or a heart surgeon, if you work in a hospital in a foreign country, you will have to write your surgical report in English. Some centers actually have a database in the OR in which you just have to “click” the appropriate boxes for your patient's conditions and to describe the surgical technique. However, most centers still have a sheet of paper for you to write it down or a microphone so you can dictate it.
