Abstract
Detectors for spectroscopy can be classified according to their application. One class converts radiant flux Φ(λ) in a spectral interval Δλ into a current signalI, Fig. 4.1, the magnitude of which depends on the wavelength. The conversion efficiency is described by the spectral sensitivityS (λ) which is defined as the ratio of output current of the detector to incident radiant flux
