Zusammenfassung

Venöse Thrombosen sind seltene Erkrankungen im Kindesalter (0,07–0,14:10.000 Kinder), in den letzten Jahren werden sie jedoch zunehmend diagnostiziert. Betroffen sind überwiegend Neugeborene und Säuglinge. In den meisten Fällen treten sie sekundär im Rahmen von schweren Grunderkrankungen auf. Neben externen Triggern (wie z. B. zentralvenösen Kathetern) und erworbenen thrombophilen Risikofaktoren (wie z. B. Antiphospholipidantikörpern) werden angeborene thrombophile Risikofaktoren wie Antithrombin-, Protein-C- und Protein-S-Mangel, die Mutationen im Faktor-V-Gen oder im Prothrombingen und erhöhtes Lipoprotein a als zusätzliche Risikofaktoren angesehen.
